Stand Up Paddle Board Design
Made In the USA
Stand Up Paddle Boards come in MANY shapes and sizes. This is the conundrum of many paddleboarders when deciding to buy a board. What type of paddle board should I buy? Cruiser for flat water, high performance shape for the Surf, race board for speed and conditioning? Now that I have decided what type of board I should buy, what are the the specifics? Trust us when we say it can be an endless set of questions. Unless you paddle board in many different conditions on a daily basis purchasing the ‘right’ board for you can be a daunting task.
ECP’s goal is to put the right board under your feet. Our experience will guide you through this decision making process. Our line of boards can be custom fit to your needs.
Quality is an issue in the surf/paddleboard industries these days. The majority of the ‘big’ paddleboard names outsource their ‘mass’ board production overseas. The Quality of most of these boards are well below average. If you are going to spend upwards of a $1500 on a paddleboard make sure it is a Quality Product Made In the USA.
We use a AutoCAD Software to design our stand up paddle boards and a CNC machine to cut the blanks for exact measurements. This accomplishes about 85% of the shaping. The last 15% is the most important and done by hand with 100+ years of shaping experience.
East Coast Paddle is here to help you get the best out of your paddle session and a proper paddleboard designed for you is the first step.
Surf SUP Models
It is this simple. NO other American Made SUP manufacturer puts as many resources towards building SUP Surf models than East Coast Paddle. Our team riders pretty much win every major contest on the East and West Coast, our shapers rip shortboards, longboards, and SUPs, and even our sales/marketing/finance team competitively compete. We know SUP Surf!

Hybrid: It is a combo board for flatwater and surf. Primarly flatwater but with the diamond tail and surf oriented shape it works great on smaller mushier waves. [more]
Lancer: This SUP is great for beginners. It is super stable and still turns in the pocket. [more]
Cruiser: This Stand Up Paddleboard is built specifically for flat-water but it can still be surfed like a traditional longboard. Incredibly stable and lots of volume for the bigger riders. [more]

Flat-water SUP Models
Proven designs based on our Eco-Tour/Lessons/Rentals Services experience. We take thousands of paddlers a year into our local estuaries and beaches. This feedback allows us to make refinements in our designs instantly and apply to the very next board built. The overseas boards leadtime for a new model is 18 months.
